Ravelry
I'm on the Facebook of knitting, ravelry.com and I feel my youth slipping away from me. I'm not exaggerating. Between cross referencing my yarn and patterns and trying to upload everything I've ever made...
My roommates are throughly sick of me talking about it. They've gotten used to me cursing into my knitting during TV. I think they've begun to fully understand what "stash" means to a knitter. The buck stops at the endless "ohmygawd, 63 other people are making these socks!" and the "LOOK! Look what yarn_barn_hunter25 said about the 4-ply merino! That was totally what I thought!"
I get the funny look from across the living room. Then I ty to backpaddle - "imagine if you found out that 500 other computer nerds had your exact memory card"
"500 other nerds DO have my exact memory card."
"Imagine if they did the same thing with it? Thought the same thing about it? WANTED TO DISCUSS IT!"
"I don't think I'd care much."
"Well then. This is totally different."
I have been a little productive since my Ravelry invite. Lots of progress on things that must be finished before I take more pictures. A little progress on getting yarn for a super-secret-mystery-wonderful project. And this:
