Since I'm fairly certian that my mother doesn't read my blog I am finally going to post shots of her birthday/ Mother's Day/ can't get my butt in gear until almost August gift to her. I had to rip a few times.

These are Eunny Jang's Anemoi mittens in Koigu Premium Merino 0000 (white) and Koigu Painter's Pallette Premium Merino 621. There are knit with US #2s. I modified a few things but I'll go into greater detail when they're actually done. One still needs binding off at the top and still is in want of a thumb. They are both screaming for some end-weaving. Damnit.

This was a lovely evening of progress. Nothing so nice as bad wine and cables.

The remarkable thing here is that I managed to get a few minutes with the porch but without the crazed hippie from upstairs. She's really territorial about MY apartment's porch. And every square inch of the shared spaces. She one of those magical San Franciscans who can live in one of the most expensive cities on the planet but not seem to need to work. I'm suprised she didn't accuse me of littering when I draped the Flower Basket on the railing. Eh. Her loss. People who are nice to knitters get very nice things.

Actually, I do look at your blog, but I was warned off, so the mittens were a complete surprise - by asking me to measure my foot, I was sure you were knitting me socks. The mittens are the most beautiful I have ever worn or seen, for that matter, and feel heavenly soft. Thank you.
